Our Inspiration and Muse

Remy was an amazing family dog.  

He was adopted by our founder Dr Melissa Jacobs from a humane society in December 2010.  Her story: "He had been found wandering the streets of San Mateo as a tiny pup all alone. It took two trips there to finally adopt him - the 1st time we noticed him, but he had no name or info card on his cage, and we were originally told that meant he was already adopted.  The 2nd time we visited a couple weeks later, he was still there, so we asked about him again.  Finally a manager dug out some paperwork - turns out he had had slipped between the cracks, never been named or listed, just a number! After signing up to promise he would be neutered and go through a 6 week training course, we took him home. 

He became the sweetest old man dog who loved us all, every day, rain or shine.  He developed some medical issues - allergies, skin issues and arthritis. We've learned so much from caring for him all those years! We wanted to keep him comfortable and happy as long as feasible ".

Remy passed in May 2025 after a long wonderful life with his family. He is missed every day by all who met him. Remy was our inspiration and muse for RemysBrands.com and PawSoak Bath Salts for Pets.
